Shahili Motorcycle Club in conjunction with Melchizedek Church of Empowerment Inc. will be providing $500.00 scholarships for the upcoming 2023 – 2024 academic year. Each $500.00 scholarship will be disbursed upon the start of each academic school year, once verification of enrollment has been confirmed.
SHAHILI MOTORCYCLE CLUB SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY CRITERIA
1. Essay Guidance:
- The essays will be 500 words, excluding the cover page. Pages within the essay, including the cover page, must adhere to the following:
2. Essay Theme (Applicant must use peer-reviewed resources to develop an essay on one of the following themes).
- a. Discuss ways Christian values can provide a solid foundation for Shahili Motorcycle Club?
- b. Research and analyze the accomplishments of the 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion (PIB) Smokejumpers and expound on ways it has influenced African Americans?
- d. Using multiple peer-reviewed sources to research the origin of the famous 555th PIB Smoke Jumpers, synthesize this information to describe how they paved the way for Smoke Jumpers worldwide.
3. Layout:
- a. Font Type: Times New Roman
- b. Font size: 12.
- c. Spacing: Double.
- d. Margins: 1 inch on all sides.
4. Cover page: will include the following information positioned in the upper-middle, 3 or 4 lines below the top of the page
- a. First name, Middle Initial, Last name (example: Jane F. Donovan)
b. Home address (street, city, state, and zip code)
c. High school named. High school address (street, city, state, and zip code)
5. Submission
